Portage: A Modern Farmhouse

GEROGIAN BAY, ON · New Build

Almost every room in this Georgian Bay home looks out to the trees and the water, so the design needed to frame the view, not compete with it.

The kitchen keeps to a calm palette of white cabinetry, marble-look counters and a large island made for gathering, finished with warm brass. Custom built-ins with natural wood shelving sit on either side of the big windows.

The primary ensuite pairs a freestanding tub with a charcoal double vanity, round mirrors and matte black wall-mounted faucets for a retreat that feels just as calm as the view.
