Big Bay Point: A Lakefront Modern Farmhouse in Innisfil

INNISFIL, ON · Main Floor Renovation

This Big Bay Point home had the setting: big windows, lake views and good bones. The interiors needed to catch up. They wanted to enlarge the kitchen and freshen up the space.

We anchored the great room with a stacked-stone fireplace and warm wood coffered beams, keeping the furnishings soft and low so the lake stays the focal point. In the kitchen, deep navy cabinetry pairs with a white oak island, marble backsplash and brass lighting for a look that's tailored but never stiff. A new open-riser white oak staircase lets light move through the home.

The everyday spaces got the same attention. The mudroom and pantry share blue-grey cabinetry, white oak accents and herringbone slate floors, durable enough for lake life and good-looking enough to leave the door open.
